Thank you for visiting Kids + Coaches online!

We appreciate and value your support.

We will continue to overcome obstacles until a trusted and proven plan is in place for enhanced programming in Edgehill. After Edgehill, we will overcome obstacles in all inner city neighborhoods around Nashville.

Kids and Coaches Inner-City Advocacy started with the observation that many children in inner city communities around Nashville do not have adequate access to positive role models, quality education, and extracurricular activities and after school programs.

Mr. Joe Staler (Local business man), Coach Daryl Robertson (Long time director RBI Nashville), Kelly Miller (Coach of Waverly Belmont Football & RBI Baseball), King Holland (Member of the original Nashville Sit in Movement In the 60s and member of Organised Neighbors of Edgehill ONE), Rodney Owens (President of Waverly Belmont Football), Avy Long with a group of parents and the community supported the founding of Kids and Coaches. They desired to bridge the gap and take an active role in creating opportunities for children to succeed through personal advocacy, sports, education, and community engagement.

  • Suburban private sports can cost up to $880 per child per season: Kids & Coaches only charges $60 per child, or the parent pays what they can.
  • 5 to 12 year old inner-city kids are not eligible for private school sports because of lack of transportation and funds.
  • Inner-city community centers and fields should be available to the kids who live in the area.
  • We are asking for your help to rebuild the inner-city youth sports program and make the landscape all-inclusive.
